Dear Friends
Need some restoration? The second video in our series about seeking God in Song is out today. Why not take the opportunity to allow God to minister to you as you enjoy listening to ‘You Restore my Soul’ HERE.

We’re looking forward to seeing you over coming weeks at our in person church services or via our live stream.

Our Sunday service times are:

9am in Church: a quieter reflective service
10:30am in Church and Live Stream: our streamed service, now with more live elements including reading, prayers, talk and a blend of live and online worship. View this online HERE.

In person services need to be booked HERE.
Please note worshippers MUST wear face coverings in church.

Children’s ministry and events these are in-person during the 10.30am service for Bubbles, Splash and Extreme. Please see your emails or contact the office and book online HERE.

Youth ministry and events look out for our email updates. if you have not received it please contact the office as it contains details of all the current Youth activities.

Harvest Sunday – 4th October- This year why not get involved in the following ways-

We encourage you to donate a packet or tin to the local Foodbank by buying and donating at the local supermarkets. They all have donation baskets in store as you shop.
Make a financial donation to support those in need at this time through Cap and our existing hardship fund. Gifts can be placed in collection box or made on line give.net/ccwharvest/- or bank transfer just mark the gift “harvest”

Youth Pastor- Following Christians departure in January we are looking to recruit his replacement. If you know anyone who may be interested please tell them to look on our website for all of the information. May I encourage you to be praying that God would lead the right person to fill this important role at Christ Church. Further details can be found HERE.

Please note our APCM is on Wednesday 7th October 2020 at 7.45pm. There are vacancies for four PCC Trustees and four Deanery Synod reps. Further details can be found HERE, but do please be praying for the PCC and leadership at this time.

Prayer meetings: We have a church prayer meeting each Friday at 10am via Zoom, for our church and community. Grab a coffee and join in. The link will be in an email or contact the office (please don’t share the link on social media).

Mission update: Our website has been updated to share details of our mission partners and what is happening in their lives. Why not have a look at it HERE.

Church Magazine- The next magazine will be our Christmas edition. The deadline for submitting articles is 12th November, so why not have a go at writing something. 500 words is ideal length. All articles to be sent to [email protected].

This week, he thinks about how listening to "You Restore My Soul" by Lauren Harris, Tom Read and Matt Fury based on Psalm 23 can help us be aware of God ministering to our deepest need for true rest and refreshment.

Salary and Hours - 30 hours per week to include some evenings and Sundays
Salary Range is £22k - £25k pa pro rata + 8% employer’s pension contributions

We are looking to appoint an energetic and inspiring Youth Pastor, who will oversee the Youth Ministry of 11-18 year olds - modelling honest, passionate discipleship and encouraging young people to grow in a lively, committed and radical faith in Jesus Christ. The Youth Pastor will strive to enable all young people to hear, respond and grow in the gospel of Jesus by the power of His Holy Spirit. They will encourage young people who are interested in the knowledge of God, and support them to develop their love for Him and for others.
To be successful in this position, you need to provide young people with a place to belong that gives them the courage to be different and resilient to unhealthy peer pressure. Ideal candidates have a proficient understanding of the challenges young people face, and are compassionate.

Christ Church Ware is a large and growing Anglican Church in Hertfordshire. We are part of the New Wine Network and have a strong emphasis on ministry in Word and Spirit.
We have a growing youth ministry with a great team of committed volunteers who help lead both Sunday and midweek activities.
We want all our people to have good working experiences with us and we seek to continually improve our working systems and arrangements. We welcome and encourage new ideas and suggestions about what we can do better.
Christ Church Ware enjoys close links with All Nations Christian College.

30 hours per week
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday
Overtime- Time off in lieu to be arranged with line manager
25 days holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays
Place of Work: Church Office, Christ Church Centre, New Road, Ware
Sick pay is paid at discretion of the PCC
Satisfactory enhanced DBS check & two references
Employed by the Parochial Church Council of Christ Church Ware
Probationary period six months
On completion of probation, notice period to be three months by either party
