SEVEN
The next Seven Service is 27th November.
SEVEN is a lively, spirit led service with worship, teaching and fellowship.  We meet together after the service socially; it would be good to see you.
 

Monthly prayer meeting Monday 21st November 10-11am in the Youth Wing Church Centre (3rd Monday).
Everyone is welcome to join us to pray for the world, local community and life at Christ Church.
 

Christmas Choir for Carols by Candle Light
Rehearsals Tuesday‘s, 7.30 – 9.15 pm in church (22nd, 29th Nov & 6th, 13th December).  All abilities welcome, come along and have a go!  Enthusiasm is more important that musical ability.
 

Men’s Christmas Curry Night –1st December –  8pm at Neelakash Tandoori Restaurant,  Amwell End Ware cost £28.50 please book your place with Richard Marlow.
 

Churches together in Ware
On Friday 2nd December there is a pop-up choir outside St. Marys in their grounds at 7pm (Dickensian Evening) Please turn up to support.
This year at Leaside tree festival will be on Friday Dec 2nd 6-9.00pm and Sat Dec 3rd 9-1pm @ Leaside (Dickensian evening) Churches together have a Ware Prayer Tree manned by a couple of people.  Christ Churches slot is; Friday 2nd December 7-8pm and Saturday 9-10am .  It is a great opportunity to engage with members of the community on the subject of prayer and what is concerning them in these difficult times.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact the office.
 

Thinking of a gift idea for Christmas?

• Next year if you are not already using a daily devotional, we would encourage you to use Choose Life 365 readings for Radical Disciples by Simon Guillebaud.  This will enable you to be able to talk about your reading and thoughts with one another at Church or life groups.
• On Sundays we use the NIV UK 2011 edition of the Bible.  We would really encourage you to bring your own copy to church so that together we get used to hearing Gods voice as well as using reading and studying scripture and all it has to say to us.  Reading a physical copy can help us to really see the text in its context.

 

Christmas Services - Preparations are well under way.  We are expecting many new faces to come and join us and we need to give them a warm, friendly welcome.  If you would like to help us in this way please let the office know when you would be available to help.

Operation Christmas Child 2022
Thank you to all those who have provided shoeboxes, knitted hats and other gifts.  A reminder that the deadline to hand in your shoeboxes is Monday 21st November.  The church building will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on that date.
 

School Tours

Dear Friends, It is with sadness that we write to tell you that Roy Stafford passed away on the morning of Wed Nov 9th.  He died peacefully at home.
A thanksgiving service for Roy’s life will be held at Christ Church, Ware at 12 noon on Tues 29th November.  For details of this and other arrangements, please see: https://www.rjstafford.org/service/
