Dear Friends, This Sunday we will be continuing with our series insights from 1 Thessalonians looking at Paul’s Three Prayers. 1 Thessalonians 3: 11-13. Volunteers’ ‘Thank you’ evening - Tonight Thursday 18th of November in church. Christ Church volunteers, thank you for serving! Join us in the church for soft drinks, wine, beer and nibbles as we say a huge ‘thank you’. Doors open at 8pm, please arrive by 9pm, for prayer time, games, chat. Celebrating volunteers who regularly support our church activities, Come if you are new to serving, have been serving for a long time, or have stepped down from long-term serving over the last couple of years, Early Morning Prayer and Pastries 1st December 7:30am- 8:30am. Come and joining us in prayer for our Christmas events. Our annual curry will be at the Neelakash Indian Restaurant, Amwell End, Ware- 7.45pm. They will provide Poppadum’s/starters and a selection of mains, side dishes, rice and Nan breads. SEVEN service We are delighted to announce that this service will restart on 28th November, 7pm. Friday Coffee morning in Church We are pleased to announce one more coffee morning in church, 9.30 am – 11.30 am on Friday 3rd December. Free, but donations welcome. Just drop in for a cuppa and a chat, you will be most welcome. Friday 26th November- Care for the family are hosting a virtual women’s event 'Deep Rooted' with fantastic speakers 'God's heart is for us to be planted in Him and to flourish'. The women in Louise Brett's life group are meeting together to watch this, maybe this is something you'd like to watch but not you're not yet connected with a group - please do get in touch - [email protected] www.careforthefamily.org.uk/events/events-online-2/deep-rooted Save the date- Join In Christmas Café and Craft 10-12 on 21st December for parents and children. Relax and enjoy creating festive crafts and making a mess in our halls rather than your home! Look out for more info coming soon Job vacancy Elaine, our Parish Administrator, plans to retire in the New Year, so we are recruiting to fill this post with effect from January 2022. The role part time, Monday to Friday mornings (19.5 hours per week) is very varied, busy, interesting and rewarding. CHRIST CHURCH SCHOOL We have the real privilege of a great partnership with Christ Church School that we founded. There are many ways that we continue to support the school and one is that we appoint Foundation Governors to the school. Currently there are two vacancies for governors. Toddler Group Toddler sessions will now be held on Mondays and Tuesdays, revised times are 9.15 am until 10.45 am. Open to any parent with babies and toddlers. £2 per family. If you would like to be part of the team of helpers please do talk to Jess. Baby Group Baby group runs on Fridays at 1.30, for mums and babies up until 6 months of age. £2 per family, all welcome.
