This next Seven Service is on 12th June - Caroline Keightley will be coming to help us explore the topic of “So God created me... But WHY?” 
Sunday morning 5th June- Splash (school year 1-3) and Xtreme (yr 4-6) groups are having a Water Extravaganza! Please wear appropriate footwear and bring a change of clothes just in case. Summer BLAST –planning meeting Monday 6th June. In church at 8pm. Come along if you would like to be involved in helping shape the summer sessions which will be on (2nd, 9th, 16th August). If you are unable to attend but would like to be involved, please contact Jess via the Church Office.
Year 6 events:
Toddlers- After a break for half term we will be back on 6th and 7th June Marcus Ordination If anyone would like to attend Marcus’s ordination at St. Albans Cathedral it is at 4pm Saturday 2ndJuly. We also have 10 spaces available on a bus with St. Mary’s leaving at 2pm, if you would like one of those spaces, please let the office know (cost approx. £10/12). Welcome to Marcus & Judith We are planning a bring your own Picnic Lunch on Sunday 3rd July at 12:15 (on the school field if dry) – to meet with Marcus, Judith and Ruby and each other. Curate Welcome Box Marcus and Judith are due to move into the parish mid-June. We would love to welcome them by stocking their larder. If you would like to contribute, A shopping list is available at the back of Church for those who would like to contribute so that we can coordinate the gift and don’t end up with 100 tins of baked beans!! Any perishable goods will need delivering to the office before they arrive. Jane and I want to say a massive thank you to you all for the wonderful send-off you gave Martin on his retirement. We were so touched by all of the messages, well wishes and the amazing party on Saturday night, all of which were unexpected. Your generosity will live long in our memories. Martin & Jane Office opening hours 09:00 – 13:00 Monday to Thursday 09:00 – 12:30 Fridays No Coffee Mornings this week (4th)- We will resume on 10th A place of friendship and community, Just drop in for refreshment, a natter and a listening ear. Friday mornings, 10am – 12noon, in the Church APCM Update Thanks to a partnership with the Diocese, we are looking to be able to appoint an Assistant Pastor at Christ Church. So that we are able to strengthen the community, and in due course resource other churches and mission opportunities.
