This Sunday we are starting a short summer series on Learning from Proverbs– Wisdom Gives Well Being Proverbs 3:1-18.  Do join us at 9 am or 10.30 am in church. The Seven Service is on 7th August 7pm – School field for worship, prayer, socialising and sausages – bring a chair all welcome.
 

Summer Picnics –TODAY 7th summer picnics start on the school field after Sunday Service, everyone welcome – bring your lunch and something to sit on: 7th August, 14thAugust, 21st August
 

Disguise or Recognise – Wednesday 10th August
Volunteers of all ages are needed to sit around town in some disguise whilst the young people try to find you in a fun game of Disguise or Recognise! If you can help please contact Alex [email protected]

• Pebbles/Stones for painting
• Colourful scarves or material to use as props/costumes in ‘The Big Show’ on Tuesday 16th August

 

Toddlers –Summer Toddler activities (0-4 no older) Monday 8th August 9:15am – 10:45am.  Normal term starts back on 5th & 6th September.

Prayer Ministry Training
As we continue to rebuild from COVID we are looking at redeveloping the Prayer Ministry team.  If you are interested in prayer ministry on a Sunday, please let John Hookway know via the office.  We are planning a training session on Monday 12th September at 8pm in Church
 

In September – We will be looking at the Gospel of John, - Why not try to have a read of it during the summer holidays, in preparation for all that God is going to be staying to us
 

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…well not quite yet! We are beginning to plan our very special Children’s Christmas Eve Service and would love to hear from you if you would like to be involved in acting, props or costume making or any other skill you would like to contribute! Please speak to Jess or email [email protected]if you would like to be a part of this or want more information about what is involved.

All keen Cyclist and Walkers …
This year’s annual Bike ‘n Hike – takes place on Saturday 10th September.  It is run by Bed & Herts Historic Churches Trust, who kindly gave us a grant towards the refurbishment
There are two ways you can get involved. 

• Welcome walkers and cyclist to the church centre- sign up for an hour slot 9am to 5 pm. (offers of help to church office please)
• Find some friends, get some sponsors and walk or cycle to some of the churches that are open in Herts & Beds.  Info pack available from the office.
