Weekly Update

This Sunday we are really excited about  our new series on Living in Jesus. This is where we get to look at how living Jesus impacts our lives. This week we look at the gift of grace, and how the Holy Spirit transforms our lives.
 
 
Sunday  Services
We look forward to welcoming you to our Sunday 9am and 10.30am services in church, as we start our new series on ‘Living in Jesus’. There is no need to book and all the other changes can be found HERE.

Prayer Opportunities

Do join us for Friday Prayers by Zoom - check your email for the link or contact the office. 

Whatever your journey with God through the pandemic, God wants to meet with you to bring you healing, peace and refreshment.  19th September and 3rd October at 8pm in the church, prayer and space with God - reflective space to listen, come before God, or receive prayer and healing. Sit on your own, or gather as a group. 

The monthly Monday Prayer meeting set up some years ago is to begin meeting in person again.  It will be held in the Church Centre Youth wing from 10-11am on 13th September, 18th October, 15th November and 20th December. We are smallish but committed group and we would love others to join us – you would be most welcome, just come along.

Confirmation and Baptism
We are delighted to let you know that we have been able to rearrange the service of Baptism and Confirmation (that was postponed due to the pandemic) for Sunday evening 10th October at 6.30pm at Christ Church. If you would like the opportunity to join the current candidates in being either confirmed (if you are already baptised) or to be baptised as well by immersion (if you haven’t been already), please do contact John via [email protected] for an invite to the preparatory session on Sunday the 12th of September. If you have any questions do please ask John.

Midweek
All women are warmly invited to Midweek in person at the church centre.  Coffee from 9.30am.  We are starting our new series on Women of the Old Testament.

MADD - Men Active During the Day
Thursday 16th September 11.30am, Old Bull’s Head, Baldock Street, Ware.  September is upon us, the meteorological autumn has commenced.  Winter is coming, the nights are drawing in.  All is not doom and gloom, we have a September MADD on the horizon!!! Come along for a chat, to hear what has been happening and plans for the rest of 2021.  If you are male and can make the meeting you are very welcome! More information from Bob Barker or Peter Dane.

 
CAP
Our Christians Against Poverty Debt centre is running, if you know of anybody who needs their help do contact 0800 3280006.  We are very pleased to say that this week three CAP clients are now debt free. Please continue to remember CAP, the team and clients in your prayers. 


Bike'n Hike
THIS Saturday 11th September is the annual Bike’n Hike fundraising event supporting Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust, There were very generous with grants towards the church refurbishment project. If you would like to cycle or hike, visiting local churches or want to know more information please see https://bedshertshct.org.uk/bike-n-hike/ or speak to Martin. We have information packs available in the office.
