The next Seven Service is on 23rd April Seven Service is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month at 7pm. SEVEN is a lively, spirit lead service with worship, teaching and fellowship. We meet together after the service socially; it would be good to see you. Service of the Word – 14th April 12:15pm in Church (after the Friday Coffee Morning 10-12). This service will be on the second Friday of the month. The service is an opportunity for people to attend church during the week and to connect with God. WAVE - 15th April 10-11:30 in Church Centre – This week we will be doing some Craft. WAVE is an inclusive space for those with learning disabilities and their carers 16+. It is an informal cafe-church where all can worship God. Children & Youth Picnic – with parents/carers- This Sunday 16th April! We will gather whatever the weather after the 10.30 service for a time of fun and food. Head on down to the church centre after you have had your post service cuppa and a chat and we will either be in the halls or on the school field. Bring along your own lunch. A great opportunity for the children and youth to play and hang out together and for the adults to do the same! Monthly prayer meeting - Monday 17th April 10-11am in the Youth Wing Church Centre (3rd Monday). Everyone is welcome to join us to pray for the world, local community and life at Christ Church. Wednesday Welcome - 26th April 2:15 for a 2:30pm start – 3:30pm in Church Centre - Marcus Hart will be sharing with us. Wednesday Welcome meet to share news and prayer requests and a chance to get to know people over tea and biscuits. There is a short service with a speaker often from Christ Church giving a bible-based talk. This group provides a network and care for members OASIS - 29th April 4-7pm in Church Centre. Solo Parenting? Come along of a Roast Dinner, Easter Egg Hunt, Games and Craft. Opportunity to chat and make new friends. Assistant Children’s Pastor The PCC is delighted to announce the appointment of an assistant children's pastor for the equivalent of 2 days a week. Lizzie Castle is a fully qualified and experienced teacher and has been already serving in the church. She is going to be able to support Jess in following up Easter Explored and the ministry on Sundays with its amazing volunteers. Lizzie will be due though to go on maternity leave later on this year and so will be helping support Children’s Church for the planning of that time, returning at the end of her maternity leave. During this time the PCC will look to support Jess and all the children's ministry with a temporary maternity cover for the post of assistant children's pastor, and will make details known in due course. Thank you so much for all your support and prayers at this exciting time with our children and young people. Church Electoral Roll: The annual revision of the Church Electoral Roll What is the Electoral Roll? The church’s Electoral Roll is the register of its voting members; it is a list of those qualified to attend and to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. Electoral rolls provide an indication of the real membership and strength of the church. Who can be on the electoral Roll? If you are baptised and over 16, and either live in the parish, or have worshipped regularly at Christ Church for at least six months; and are committed to being part of the life of the local Church of England congregation. Why Join? Enrolment is a way of saying....“I belong”. For us it is an act of commitment to Christ Church and the church as a whole. You can apply to be on the Electoral Roll at any time. Forms are available at the back of Church. Please contact the office for more details. Each year the Electoral Roll is revised before the APCM (17 May 2023) If you would like to be on it for this year, please complete a form and place in the collection box or give in to the office by Sunday 30th April 20’s & 30’s Social - Liz and Rob Swaile are hosting a 20’s & 30’s Social at their house on Friday 19th May from 8:30pm Please bring your own drinks, and nibbles will be provided. Help in Creche and children’s groups – We are looking for extra volunteers to assist with Sunday Creche and Childrens group.
