The next Seven service is on 25th September 2022. We are continuing to look at Ephesians SEVEN is a lively, spirit led service with worship, teaching and fellowship. We will be supporting the work of the Hertford food bank Hertford & District Foodbank If you would like to contribute, the items they require are: Food items – Cereal, Soup, Pasta, Rice, Tinned tomatoes/pasta sauce, Lentils, beans and pulses, Tinned meat, Tinned vegetables, Tea/Coffee, Tinned fruit, Biscuits, UHT Milk and Fruit Juice Non-food items -Toiletries, Household items, Feminine products, Baby supplies… Job Opportunities Operations Manager (part-time 25hrs) Full details here Networking, Events and Volunteer Coordinator (part-time 15hrs) Full details here We are looking for a Parish Operations Manager and Networking, Events and Volunteer Coordinator to join our management/leadership team. The ministry of the church is extensive, vibrant, diverse and is being further developed, as we see God at work in our community. These roles are an opportunity to support the Church’s mission and ministry in a wide range of management activities based on the skills of the successful applicant. PCC There are a couple of casual vacancies on parochial church council (Church Trustees). If you would like to explore being a PCC member before the APCM next year please do talk to John or the Church Wardens. Seaside Church Day Out! Saturday 1st October We are off to Walton-on-the-Naze for an all-age fun day out! We will gather on the beach from 11am for a picnic and some sandcastle building competitions, you are then free to stay with the group, or go off and explore the delights of Walton with step-free access to fish and chips, beach shops, ice creams and cups of tea. Monthly Monday Prayer Meeting - Please note that the monthly prayer meeting will be changed from 19th September to 26th September 10-11am in the Youth Wing Church Centre. Everyone is welcome to join us to pray for the world, local community and life at Christ Church. When Dreams Change- We are running a free 4 week course exploring what happens when dreams change and how we process and adjust to our child’s additional needs. It will enable parents and carers of children with additional needs to reflect on their emotions within a supportive network. The course starts on Monday 26th September 7.30-9 in churchand will continue on Monday 3rd Oct, 17th Oct and 31st Oct To sign up please email the office. Youth Club Wednesday night 7:30-9:00pm Can you help? We have a flourishing Youth Group of around 30 young people. Wednesday nights we hold a social evening with games, snacks and a short Christian message. We need more enthusiastic leaders to come and join the team. Please speak to Jess or Alex and come along and try… [email protected] SAVE THE DATE – 16th October Welcome Lunch for New Comers to the Church– More details to follow Join IN Event 24th October We are running another free, fun filled morning of games, crafts, bible storytelling for children (ages 0-11) and their parents/carers to come along to. If you could help with refreshments, crafts, welcome, bouncy castle, door duty, someone available to chat or pray with people as needed, baking a cake, then please speak to Jess or email [email protected] Opportunities to help at Christ Church We are looking for a small group of volunteers who we could call on to help on an adhoc basis to assist congregation who who may need a lift to appointments etc. as they don’t have their own transport – This is not a taxi service (purely for those in need). If you would like to offer your services for this need, please let the office know.
