Wow what an amazing week!
We have had over 1000 children/adults visiting us at Easter Explored this week. We have seen beautiful reactions from the children as they enter the church and especially when our narrators turn water into wine! We have had lots of very positive feedback, it has been exhausting but worth it. We have really loved sharing with them the journey of Easter and telling them the story of Jesus
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to make this possible from allowing us to borrow your “stuff”, helping us set up and clear down, painting scenery, being narrators, being behind the scenes literally and all your support and prayers - JESS
If you have lent anything you wish to be returned, please contact the office.
Assistant Children’s Pastor
The PCC is delighted to announce the appointment of an assistant children's pastor for the equivalent of 2 days a week. Lizzie Castle is a fully qualified and experienced teacher and has been already serving in the church. She is going to be able to support Jess in following up Easter Explored and the ministry on Sundays with its amazing volunteers.
Lizzie will be due though to go on maternity leave later on this year and so will be helping support Children’s Church for the planning of that time, returning at the end of her maternity leave. During this time the PCC will look to support Jess and all the children's ministry with a temporary maternity cover for the post of assistant children's pastor, and will make details known in due course. Thank you so much for all your support and prayers at this exciting time with our children and young people.
Church Electoral Roll: The annual revision of the Church Electoral Roll
What is the Electoral Roll? The church’s Electoral Roll is the register of its voting members; it is a list of those qualified to attend and to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. Electoral rolls provide an indication of the real membership and strength of the church.
Who can be on the electoral Roll? If you are baptised and over 16, and either live in the parish, or have worshipped regularly at Christ Church for at least six months; and are committed to being part of the life of the local Church of England congregation. Why Join? Enrolment is a way of saying....“I belong”. For us it is an act of commitment to Christ Church and the church as a whole. You can apply to be on the Electoral Roll at any time. Forms are available at the back of Church. Please contact the office for more details.
Each year the Electoral Roll is revised before the APCM (17 May 2023) If you would like to be on it for this year, please complete a form and place in the collection box or give in to the office by Sunday 30th April
