PCC Secretary need
The PCC Secretary is key role to the operation of the PCC.  This the role includes; 1 meeting (evening) a month, plus 2/3 hours of prep for the meeting.  If you are interested in this position please talk to a Church warden, Vicar or current PCC member if you would like to know more.

Our Legacy Project Blessing others as we have been blessed
The people of Christ Church have always embraced opportunities to use our resources to reach out to others. The recent redevelopment of the office and the Church building was purposed to underpin this vision for a generation to come.
Continuing on this theme, the PCC has recommitted to complete the original objectives of the redevelopment project, and to raise the last of the funds needed to enable the Church to be “debt free”. Included as a key objective of the project is that10% of all personal gifting for the redevelopment should be used to create lasting legacy projects which bless others.
The many relationships that Christ Church already enjoys will form the core of our focus to become recipients of our legacy funding - and projects that enable others to learn of God’s
word, to grow in faith and to have a long-lasting kingdom impact are our mission.
If you have an idea or a project that you would like us to consider supporting, please contact Ros McFiggans (team leader) via the church office.

SUMMER -  YOUNG PEOPLE
We have a wonderful group of children at Christ Church and some great connections with children in the community.  We want to continue to grow these relationships and share the good news of Jesus with more and more children.  This can only happen with your support.  Below are several opportunities coming up that need your support.  Please read through with an open and prayerful mind and consider whether you might be able to help.
Children

Summer Sundays
Over the summer we give our regular team a well-deserved break.  In order to be able to continue running our children’s groups, we need help.  Are you able to help on one Sunday (24th July, 31st July,  7th August, 14th August, 21ST August, 28th August) in either crèche, 3-11 year olds and youth.  To run, a crèche team needs 3 people each week, 3-11s need 2 others to help Jess and youth needs 1 other to help Alex.
Summer Blast
In order to run 3 fun mornings of Bible teaching, games and craft, we need a team of people. Teams are required 9-12.30 am on Tuesday 2nd, 9th, 16th August. Whether you can make one, two or all of the sessions and whatever your skill set, there will be a role for you. The number of children we can welcome and size of these mornings depends on how many team members we have so please do consider getting involved.
Extra Support
We would love to be able to offer some 1-1 support to our children who have additional needs. What this will look like will vary depending on the child and the help you feel able to give but if you have a heart for working with children in this supportive role then please do think about whether you could come along to Summer Blast in this capacity or on Sunday mornings rota over the summer or from September.
Youth

Sunday mornings
We really need a couple more leaders for Sunday mornings from the beginning of July.  These are during the 10.30 service.  Whether you would feel comfortable leading a session or being there as a helper please do consider and pray and speak to Alex (assistant youth) if you would be interested in finding out more.
Summer Youth
We are creating some exciting summer plans for our young people this summer.  We would love to help build relationships between our young people and the ‘not so young people’ in church!  We would like to invite anyone who wants to come and enjoy some activities with our youth this summer to get in touch.  If we get enough volunteers we would like to run some larger activities around the town including a fun ‘Disguised or Recognised’ game (this will involve some sitting around town, some disguises and lots of fun!) Youth sessions will be Wednesdays 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st August (timings tbc)
If you would like to know more about any of the above then please do contact Jess at children@christchurchware.co.uk or message/call 07776596561
