Dear Friends,

Service of the Word – 6th October 12:15pm in Church (after the Friday Coffee Morning 10-12).  This service is on the second Friday of the month.  The service is an opportunity for people to attend church during the week and to connect with God.


SEVEN This Sunday is the Seven Service 8th October – 7pm in Church – What’s God Like. Seven Service is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month at 7pm.  SEVEN is a lively, spirit led service with worship, teaching and fellowship.  We meet together after the service socially; it would be good to see you.
 

Ministry Leaders Thursday 12th October, 7.30-9.30pm Leaders evening for teaching with; cheese, wine and soft drinks. Come along if you oversee any group that runs at Christ Church from the alpha course or finance committee, to the missions team or Wednesday Welcome. All children’s and youth volunteers are included as you lead our children and young people. If you’re unsure whether this applies to you feel free to email us or ask one of the staff team.

JOIN IN! Monday 23rd (10-12/2-4) and Tuesday 24th (10-12/ 1-2.30 SEN) October Event for parents/carers and children to come to together with bouncy castle, soft play, games, crafts, Bible story and café.
Help- Due to the number of people who want to come,  we are now running this over 2 days! Double the days, double the team! Welcome, monitor inflatables, serve refreshments, chat and pray with adults, craft, bake a cake.

Light Party
31st October 6-8pm church family disco (light party) come dressed in your brightest outfit as we celebrate all that Jesus has done to overcome the darkness. Goody bags will be provided! (Parents to stay with their children, please email [email protected] if you'd like to help)

19th November -  Women's prayer and healing evening, 7.30pm Come and worship together as we take time out to invite God and his spirit to breakthrough. Feel free to come whether you have prayer requests or not, to support others and see what it's all about. Contact Louise for more details.
 

Bereavement Journey:
We will be running the Bereavement Journey on Monday evenings from 5 February to 18 March 2024. If you would like to be involved with facilitating groups, refreshments etc, please contact [email protected] for more information. Thank you.
 

Operation Christmas Child 2023
This is a simple way to make a real difference to the life of a child at Christmas.  Can you find the time to fill a shoe box with a few inexpensive gifts?

Christ Church @ New Wine 2024 – 25-30 July 2024 New Wine 24 - New Wine (new-wine.org)  If you are thinking of coming we encourage you to book as soon as possible as ticket are selling fast
For those of you who might think Camping is not for you … (I don’t have the equipment for this) – Christ Church has a Group Camp area.  All you need to do is bring along a tent, sleeping bag and your own personal luxuries.  We will have a central /shared area for socialising and cooking together  
 

Prayer Space In the prayer area at the back of church there are cards for you to leave a; Testimony, Things to Pray for, as well as words for us as a Church.  The Staff team will then take time to pray during for them during the week.  Please place completed cards in the offertory box or give to a member of the clergy.
