Christ Church runs an extensive Social Action Programme serving the whole Parish, working with the local community:
  • Our Oasis group for solo-parents was founded 14 years ago to provide support on a monthly basis to solo parents, providing a place to relax and enjoy activities and a cooked meal.
  • Our CAP (Christians Against Poverty) Centre works with clients offering debt management and on-going practical support to see them debt free within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Our Adult and Toddler Groups meet four days of the week providing opportunities for 200 carers and children each week.
  • Supporting Syrian Refugees, providing friendship and support for local refugee families.
  • Love Ware, Live Ware holds free community fun days on the King George Field and Lower Bourne Gardens in Ware.
  • Our Residential Homes Visiting Team visits Residential Homes in the area, offering spiritual support and communion to residents.
  • WAVE (We Are Valued Equally) offers a monthly church café, an inclusive space for those with learning disabilities and their carers.
In addition to the above there are regular groups for children and young people, young people’s uniformed organisations and support and fellowship groups for families and adults of all ages, open to all.​
