​Michael Resta

My name is Michael Resta.  I have been attending Christ Church since 2019 and more regularly after leaving All Nations Christian College where I was on the staff.  My job there was to organise the practical ministries and courses - this involved placing students in churches.  I also ran the practical courses and did some teaching.  I am a former student of the college having done a BA and MA there.

From April 2023 I moved to Burundi in East Africa to teach at a theological college - this will include teaching English as a foreign language, which I did in China for several years.  Also some introductory Old Testament and New Testament.  The opportunity came via some former All Nations students who are already there and the principal of the College who is on the board of governors at All Nations.

Some points for prayer:

• For peace in Burundi - the country has a history of ethnic violence (more perhaps in next door Rwanda and effects are still being felt).
• For students willing to learn and apply God's Word accepting it as God's word  (1Thessalonians 2:13)
• For good relationships with students as well as local people accompanied by compassion and love for them.
• For safety and protection, particularly from mosquitoes!
