Flavio and Cinzia De Lima
The De Lima family is a cross-cultural family: Flavio comes from Brazil and Cinzia is from Italy. They have three beautiful kids: Nair (2008), Lucas (2014) and Marco (2018). Flavio and Cinzia met on board the MV Doulos while working with Operation Mobilisation (OM), then married and made their home in the UK.
They have been mission partners with Christ Church Ware since 2016, right after completing their studies at All Nations Christian College. In September of the same year, they rejoined OM Ships as a family on board the Logos Hope, working initially in the Help and Relief department and then with the HR team. They had the privilege of serving in various ports in West Africa, the Caribbean, and Central and South America from 2016 to 2020.
OM Ships is part of the global Christian training and outreach movement, Operation Mobilisation. The ministry focuses on three different aspects: sharing knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world. They share knowledge through the books they provide (educational and spiritual), help with the relief and aid ministry, and hope by sharing personal faith and the Gospel. OM Ships ministry began in 1970, since then OM's ships have visited over 500 different ports in 151 countries and territories and welcomed over 47 million visitors on board. They currently run two ships, the MV Logos Hope and the MV Doulos Hope. www.om.org/ships
Since 2020 the De Limas are no longer on board the ship but continue with OM serving with the onshore team. They are based in Harrogate, UK and Flavio works remotely as the Crew Manager responsible for the recruitment of qualified seafarers for the ships.
