New Afterschool club launching January 2025
Lizzie is running a club school year groups 4 to 6  year groups from 3.30-5 every Wednesday (term time) and she is looking for volunteers.  Could you help in this vital ministry? Please contact Lizzie[email protected]


Getting ready for Christmas…11th December  We have a small team of volunteers to decorate the Church for Christmas.  They would love some help.  If you would like to be involved please contact the office.

CAP Christmas Hampers Christmas is a time for celebration but for many of our CAP clients, Christmas is a time of stress and feeling guilty as finances are very tight. So to spread some joy this Christmas, we would like to give our clients a special treat in the form of a Christmas hamper.  As a church, we would love you to join us, if you are able, to help collect together some items that will bring a smile this Christmas. Eco Church
This month is the most popular time of year to plan your next holiday.  Sustainability may not be the first thing you consider when making a booking.... but here are some ideas. 
Where: we know nearer places usually take less energy and carbon to get there.  Why not make the journey part of the holiday?  Where to stay:  Different types of accommodation have vastly different approaches to sustainability, so have a look at the eco-credentials of hotels or campsites before you book. Do they use renewable energy, promote local produce and support the local economy?
If you usually take several holidays a year, could you avoid flying for one of them and visit somewhere closer to home?   Just one change is a positive step in the right direction.


Thank You to all those involved in putting on a lovely afternoon of craft, games, hall decoration, Christmas dinner and washing up for the lone parents and their children. 


Stan Bruce, a former member of Christ Church and Librarian and Greek tutor at All Nations Christian College for nearly 40 years, died on 2nd December. A Thanksgiving Service will be held in Oakham on 30th December at 1pm. It will also be live-streamed. Please see Mary Salter for details.

Prayer Space In the prayer area at the back of church there are cards for you to leave a; Testimony, Things to Pray for, as well as words for us as a Church.  The Staff team will then take time to pray during for them during the week.  Please place completed cards in the offertory box or give to a member of the clergy. For 24/7 urgent (and confidential) prayer requests please send an email to [email protected].
