Rekindling - Thursday 5th September  7:30 pm Church Centre  A space for dads of those with additional needs (male carers also welcome). Peer support group with opportunities to chat with each other around a firepit. Everyone is invited to the beach  Walton on the Naze
When - Saturday 14th September '24 at 11am
Where - Where will we meet at 11am?  We will meet on the beach at the following point  https://maps.app.goo.gl/MfSVdtpfLQwETmnk6    What3words location: passenger.regular.blanked.  We will have Christ Church red banners up so you can find us!
Parking - There is on street parking directly next to this section of beach.  Alternatively, there is a car park called 'Coronation Car park'
Bring your own packed lunch, towel, activities, and beach toys.
There are a couple of kiosks serving lunch, ice creams (ice cream central) and drinks close to our spot, as well as a toilet block and mini arcade (Kino amusements). Please note there are a small number of steps down to this part of the beach.
Please arrange to car share wherever possible- especially offering a lift to those unable to drive there. Please get in touch if you need help getting there.

Under 5's breakfast Sunday 22nd September 9am in Church CentrePlease come along if you; -are Under 5 (please bring your family too!) & you serve in a team for Under 5's (crèche, toddlers, or bubbles) A chance to play, chat, and grab a breakfast bap, All of our events are always open to newcomers, please do come along and make yourselves known. Please email [email protected] if you would like to serve at this event.


Baptism and Confirmation - On Sunday 3rd November we are having a confirmation service with the option to also be baptised. If you would like to make this public declaration or if you are just wanting to explore this further then please speak to John or Jess.

Home and Away (Day) - Closer Each Day...
Saturday, 5th October - Church day with children and youth activities, social time, teaching and worship together, shared lunch and also for the Friday evening where we will be having a time of worship, prayer and social together as well.


Toddlers starts back on the 9th and 10th September 9.30-11am, no need to sign up just come along for play time, stories and singing for under 5's and their parents/carers We would love to have some more people join our team, it would be good to have some male volunteers as we see a growing number of dads and grandads joining us each week. It would also be good to have help in the kitchen serving teas and coffees.


Ecotip When you're going out for a picnic, just Say No to Plastic disposables - Disposable plates, cutlery and straws are among the worst plastic pollution culprits. Like plastic bags and bottles, they're used just once, for a few  minutes, and then thrown away. Keep a metal or wooden utensils set in your purse or travel pack, or collect them when you are out and have a snack.  Also don't forget your reusable cup to avoid the use of a disposable cup in the coffee house.  The use of disposable plastic cups is still a major item of waste in the high streets. Let's follow Plastic-free July with plastic-free August!

Prayer Space In the prayer area at the back of church there are cards for you to leave a; Testimony, Things to Pray for, as well as words for us as a Church.  The Staff team will then take time to pray during for them during the week.  Please place completed cards in the offertory box or give to a member of the clergy.
