Dear Friends, This Sunday Service - We continue our series on Exodus for Today – The Lord Saves Exodus 14:1-31 Join us at 9 am or 10.30 am in church. Seven Service is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month at 7pm. Please Pray This weekend 30 young people from our youth group are going on a weekend away. There will be times of worship, Bible teaching, discussion groups, creative activities and lots of running around in the woods. Please Pray for the Young People and the Team Passover Explained Wednesday 26th March 7.30pm, closing by 9:15 – in Church Open to Everyone, Lifegroup Youth… Please bring your own drinks and nibbles to have alongside tasting various parts of the Passover meal. This is a relaxed evening to enjoy each other's company alongside hearing about the significance of Jesus in the Passover meal. The Passover will be explained to us by Richard Harvey, who has taught Jewish Studies at All Nations Christians College. Easter Oasis - Saturday 29th March 4pm till 7pm If you're parenting alone, or know someone who is, you/they are very welcome to the church centre with or without children for an afternoon of craft, games, Easter egg hunt and roast dinner. Please contact the office for further information Easter Services at Christ Church Maundy Thursday - 17th April 8pm Good Friday – 18th April 10:30am Easter Sunday – 20th April 9am & 10:30am Join In! Easter Café and Craft. Help needed please! Are you able to serve refreshments, welcome people or show the children the different craft activities? It is a really fun event where children enjoy doing crafts at their tables with parents while eating yummy treats. Please speak to Jess[email protected] if you can help. Monday 7th April 10.30-12 for ages 3-11. Church centre. No booking required. Easter Egg Hunt - Sarah Jane has very kindly offered her grounds for us to have a Children's Church family and Team Easter Egg hunt with games. This will be a great opportunity to spend time with other families and have fun together. It will be on 16th April from 11-12pm with the option to bring a picnic lunch for afterwards. A place of friendship and Community. Just drop in for refreshment, a natter and a listening ear. Next week a 'Cuppa with a Cop' session Working Party at School There is a working party at Christ Church School on Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th April to decorate the corridor of the early years block. We are seeking 2 or 3 people to join us for either or both days. They do need to be competent with a paint brush and roller. Offers of help to Martin Dudley Eco Church We all know that we should try to reduce our use of plastics, avoid single-use plastics and buy unpackaged items where possible. If you do have soft plastics, like bags, you probably know that the large supermarkets all have a hopper to collect them for recycling. It's usually near the entrance, or checkouts. I've only just realised that as well as any plastic bag and film, they also take crisp and snack packets, the nets citrus fruit comes in and, food and pet pouches. Every little helps. Prayer Space In the prayer area at the back of church there are cards for you to leave a; Testimony, Things to Pray for, as well as words for us as a Church. The Staff team will then take time to pray during for them during the week. Please place completed cards in the offertory box or give to a member of the clergy. For 24/7 urgent (and confidential) prayer requests please send an email to [email protected] Advanced notice of FULL ELECTORAL ROLL REVISION 2025 Every year before the Annual Parochial General Meeting a revision of the Electoral Roll takes place. This year the APCM is on 21st May 2025 at 7:45pm This year, 2025, a completely new Electoral Roll is being compiled. Every person who wishes to have their name entered onto the role, whether entered on the present roll or not, must apply for enrolment. Being on the Electoral Roll is more than just a formality; it empowers you to actively engage in and shape the life of your church community. Being on the electoral roll does not make you a 'member' of Christ Church; simply thinking of our church as your spiritual home does that. Indeed, even before joining the Electoral Roll, you should already consider our church as your spiritual home.
