SEVEN The next Seven Service is on 27th October 7pm in Church. Seven Service is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month at 7pm.


Monthly Prayer Meeting - Monday 21st October 10-11am in the Youth Wing Church Centre (3rd Monday).  Why not come and join us as we pray for the world, local community and life at Christ Church.

Event for parents/carers and children to come to together with bouncy castle, soft play, games, crafts, Bible story and café.

We desperately need team please to enable us to run all of these sessions!  
Can you help with any of these areas - Welcome, monitor inflatables, serve refreshments, chat and pray with adults, craft, bake a cake.

Baptism and Confirmation – On Sunday 3rd November at 6pm we are having a confirmation service with the option to also be baptised. If you would like to make this public declaration or if you are just wanting to explore this further then please speak to John or Jess.

Christmas Choir
Mark Dillon has kindly agreed to lead the choir for the Carols by Candle light service.
Rehearsals be on Tuesday evenings 7.30 to 9.15 from 5th November to 12th December. All abilities welcome, come along and have a go!  Enthusiasm is more important that musical ability.   Further reminder nearer the time.


Rekindling - Thursday 7th November 7:30 pm Church Centre  - Hosted by Dave Brett
A space for dads of those with additional needs (male carers also welcome). Peer support group with opportunities to chat with each other around a firepit.  Bring your own soft drinks and nibbles to share.  Any queries please email [email protected]


Welcome Team & Wardens meeting Sunday 17th November 7pm in the church
Please come along if you serve on the welcome team or as a warden or assistant warden at any of our services. You're very welcome to come along if you'd like to explore the possibility of joining the team too. The evening will include an overview of upcoming events and Sunday morning services, as well as giving you the opportunity to give us your feedback.


Help needed - Single Parents – We are hoping to organise Christmas event for our Single Parents 30th November 4-7pm – if you would like to be involved please contact the Church Office


Casting call! Would you like to be in the Children's Christmas Eve Service this year? We are looking for actors/actresses of all ages to come and help us share the Christmas story in a fun and creative way.  Please speak to Jess if you are interested or would like to know more  [email protected]


Do you have any Board Games you would like to donate?  Lizzie is running a lunch time board games club at Christ Church School. She would love some good quality games to be able to share with them.


Operation Christmas Child 2024 If you would like to fill a shoebox this year, please pick up a leaflet from the back of church for full instructions.  You can also donate items such as knitted hats, A5 sized notebooks, soaps, and small toys (must be new) etc.  Please take your shoebox gifts or fillers to the church centre, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00,  but only during National Collections Week (11th to 18th November). 


Ecotip October  Did you know ? The fashion industry is the second biggest consumer of water after agriculture.   Making just one pair of jeans takes 7,500 litres of water
 Autumn is upon us and you will soon get out your winter wardrobe.  Before you put your summer gear away maybe see what you haven't worn, consider offering it to a Pre-loved Item shop.  While you're there, have a look to see if anything draws your attention to buy and be tempted. 
In so doing, you will have:
reduced landfill, the amount of clothing in circulation, the fuel and water waste in manufacturing processes and contributed to the charity itself, contributed to water conservation, contributed to a good cause (see https://www.oxfam.org.uk/oxfam-in-action/oxfam-blog/the-benefits-of-buying-second-hand/ )

Prayer Space In the prayer area at the back of church there are cards for you to leave a; Testimony, Things to Pray for, as well as words for us as a Church.  The Staff team will then take time to pray during for them during the week.  Please place completed cards in the offertory box or give to a member of the clergy.
