​Dear Friends, we are continuing our series in Encountering Jesus from John's Gospel.  This Sunday we are looking at  Responding to Jesus  John 4:1-26   Join us at 9 am or 10.30 am in church.  You can also join us every Sunday at 10.30 am on our Live Stream - Christ Church

Is there someone you could invite to read a bit of the bible with you, someone who hasn't looked at it before?
The word one to one is an app, and book available to help in a non-threatening way. You both download the app and can look through it together over a coffee or whenever you catch up.

The app goes very slowly through John's gospel, and you can read as much or as little as suits. Each time you meet you simply ask if they would like to meet again, it's not a long-term commitment. This style of reading scripture requires us to trust in the power of God's word. And the power of the Holy Spirit to use the bible to reveal himself. We don't need a careful strategy for how our friends can know Jesus. Using the app leaves us to prepare by praying about the interaction, rather than needing lots of clever answers.


SEVEN Service -  The Next Seven Service is 8th February looking at the book of James


Ware's the worship  THIS FRIDAY 30th January 
Christ Church will be hosting a worship event on Friday 30th January. A live band will be leading us in an evening of modern worship music; picture the lights and sounds of a first rate party, but with the object of the evening to offer praise and worship to our God and King.
The evening is open to adults and young people from age 11 upwards. Doors will open at 7.20pm. Please invite any friends who would enjoy an evening of contemporary worship and exciting visuals.


Alpha Youth - Starting on the 28th January, for 8 weeks! We will meet at 6pm on Wednesdays and have dinner together.   It's not too late to start…

Soup Sunday – 8th February  - Join us after the 10:30am service for Soup. All ages welcome- an opportunity to meet new people and catch up with friends.


Join In!  Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th February  A fun event for parents/carers and children to come to together with bouncy castle, soft play, games, Bible story and café.  Would you like to be a part of making this happen?

• Help- We need lots of team to make this happen! We run four sessions, could you help at one (or more!) of them? Roles include-  Welcome, monitoring inflatables, craft helper, serving refreshments, chatting and praying with adults.
• Bake- We need lots of cake!
• Pray- We need lots of prayer!
• Invite- Who could you invite to have fun and hear about Jesus?
• Book your place!- Booking is essential

Eco Church EcoTip for February
Let's try to buy fewer things.  Could you borrow, or hire instead? Do you have garden tools, or DIY equipment that you would happily share with friends and family? Neighbours leant us a car roof box, as it's only needed for a week at a time.
I was recently excited to borrow a thermal imaging camera from the library.  I'm loved going around my house identifying  draughts and places where we can improve insulation. It's free for library members and Ware, Hertford and Buntingford libraries all have them.
