To encourage and support reading John's Gospel with others see our training on the 12th January at 8pm


Service of the Word 9th January 12:15pm in Church (after the Friday Coffee Morning 10-12).  This service will be on the second Friday of the month.  The service is an opportunity for people to attend church during the week and to connect with God.


SEVEN Service -  The next Seven Service 11th January @ 7pm looking at the book of James - this week there will be an extended social time in church after the service with pizza


Dates for 2026
Monday 12th January 8- 9.30pm in the church. The evening will include teaching on the book of John and how we can help others explore and understand it. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and pray together. Recommended for life group leaders, and everyone interested in helping others read John's gospel. We will look at the Word one2one and how this could help you to do this.


Ware's the worship
Christchurch will be hosting a worship event on Friday 30th January. A live band will be leading us in an evening of modern worship music; picture the lights and sounds of a first rate party, but with the object of the evening to offer praise and worship to our God and King.
The evening is open to adults and young people from age 11 upwards. Doors will open at 7.20pm. Please invite any friends who would enjoy an evening of contemporary worship and exciting visuals.


Toddlers returns on Tuesday 13th  January 9:30 – 11:30am 


Gentlemen of Christ Church Men Active During the Day
We turn our attention to matters of the new year.  That is, the first MADD meeting of 2026.
Day, Date, time and place - Thursday 15th January 26 at 11.30amin Christ Church, Ware.
Our guest in January will be the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Nicholas Buxton.  Nicholas Buxton is a local farmer and churchwarden of his parish church.   All men are very, very welcome.  Feel free to invite a friend.  


Ignite!   Our after school group for children aged 8-11 years old (school year 4-6) is a great success . We had great fun playing games, doing craft, eating toast and hearing a bible story
The next  club is 14th January!

Alpha Youth - Starting on the 28th January, for 8 weeks! We will meet at 6pm on Wednesdays and have dinner together.
-          Is there a young person you know who you'd like to invite?

-          The Youth Team as they meet on Saturday 10th for a time of vision dreaming, planning and praying.
-          Youth Discipleship Away Day- Saturday 17th- Pray for 3 of our young people who are part of a weekly discipleship group as they spend the day together praying, worshipping, bible study and thinking about leadership
-          Alpha Youth! Starting Wednesday 28th January. Pray for the youth as they consider signing up and as they invite friends.


Christmas Explored - Some of the tools borrowed for Christmas Explored have settled in rather comfortably and forgotten to go home. If one of them is yours, please let Jess know so they can be reunited!


Soup Sunday – 8th February  - Join us after the 10:30am service for Soup.

EcoChurch - Tip for January
Are you planning to travel in 2026?   Can you do so in a way that is good for our planet?   We all know major sources of carbon and pollutants are cars and planes, with flying having a huge impact.   We know it's best to walk, cycle, go by bus, take the train, or at least car share. 
For your holiday this year - can you travel by boat, or train? Could you cut out one flight? 
Why not challenge yourself to making a holiday, or work trip, more eco-friendly in 2026.


Women's bible study
As part of our women's ministry Monique will be overseeing a monthly bible study course, following a Beth Moore bible study looking at some of the Psalms. The course comes with a workbook for you to purchase, and carefully guides us to go deeper with God as we look at the psalms of ascent. This is open to any women at Christ Church, the material does not cross over with life groups, so you are welcome to attend both. These are being hosted in people's homes so to sign up or find out more please speak with Louise or contact [email protected]

This is open to women of all ages, and you don't have to be able to attend every session. 


Prayer Space In the prayer area at the back of church there are cards for you to leave; Testimony, Prayer requests, or words and pictures for the church- please post these in the prayer box.  The Staff team will then pray for them.  For 24/7 urgent (and confidential) prayer requests please send an email to [email protected].  Please let the office know if you would like to be part of a prayer group or prayer triplet.
