​SEVEN Service -  The next Seven Service 9th November – This terms theme is:  Encounter, Community and Equipping.   Seven Service is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month at 7pm


Service of the Word – 14th November 12:15pm in Church (after the Friday Coffee Morning 10-12).  This service will be on the second Friday of the month.  The service is an opportunity for people to attend church during the week and to connect with God.


Christmas Explored- 24th-28th November (set up on 23rd) A couple years ago Christ Church ran an event called Easter Explored.  This year we are doing Christmas Explored!  
How can you be involved?  Over the next couple months look out for random prop requests! This week- YOU! We need Guides and Nativity people. Consider saving the dates and getting involved as an actor, odd jobs help,  helping set up and take down and praying!  Speak to Jess [email protected]


Could You Help in Creche?
We're looking for extra pairs of hands to help care for our littlest church members (ages 0–3).
If you enjoy spending time with very young children — playing, singing, crafting, sharing snacks and a simple Bible story — we'd love to have you join the team!
No prep needed, just a warm heart and a willingness to get involved.

Christmas Choir. We're getting ready for our Carol Service on Sunday 21st December, and we'd love for you to be part of it!
Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, starting 4th November, from 7:30 to 9:15 pm in the Memorial Hall. Everyone is welcome — no auditions, no need to read music, just come along and join the fun.  And… there will be cake!
 

THANK YOU to everyone who Helped, Baked, Prayed or Invited to JOIN IN.  We had 191 children who all had great fun and there was lots of good conversations.


Oasis (early) Christmas celebration  Oasis is our group for those who are mainly parenting alone and their children.
We are holding a Christmas event in the church centre on Saturday 22nd November 4-7 pm.  Christmas dinner, games, craft.  Please come and feel free to invite others to this free celebration.  Please contact the church office if you're coming or would like to know more or just come along on the day.

EcoChurch
As the days get shorter prepare your home for cooler days and nights.  My research suggests an average 40% of home heating is lost through gaps around windows, doors, loft hatches and floorboards.   Extra insulation, and fixing drafts saves energy.  Put some draft excluder around windows and outside doors.  Last autumn I had to fix our letterbox which was letting in rain and cold air. I recently got thermal linings for some thin curtains. They were cheap and really easy to clip in. Try to think of one thing to do - it saves energy and is good for the planet too.


Prayer Space In the prayer area at the back of church there are cards for you to leave; Testimony, Prayer requests, or words and pictures for the church- please post these in the prayer box.  The Staff team will then pray for them.  For 24/7 urgent (and confidential) prayer requests please send an email to [email protected].  Please let us know if you would like to be part of a prayer group or prayer triplet.
