Year 6 events:
Welcome to Marcus & Judith We are planning a bring your own Picnic Lunch on Sunday 3rd July at 12:15 (on the school field if dry) – to meet with Marcus, Judith and Ruby and each other. Marcus's Ordination If anyone would like to attend Marcus’s ordination at St. Albans Cathedral it is at 4pm Saturday 2nd July. We also have 10 spaces available on a bus with St. Mary’s leaving at 2pm, if you would like one of those spaces, please let the office know (cost approx. £10/12). Curate Welcome Box Marcus and Judith are due to move into the parish mid-June. We would love to welcome them by stocking their larder. If you would like to contribute, A shopping list is available at the back of Church for those who would like to contribute so that we can coordinate the gift and don’t end up with 100 tins of baked beans!! Any perishable goods will need delivering to the office before they arrive. Please see box at back of Church DIY SOS @ Curatage Richard requires some assistance at Cromwell on Monday 13th June to fill a small skip. Please contact Richard or the Office. Message from the Dudley’s Jane and i want to say a massive thank you to you all for the wonderful send-off you gave Martin on his retirement. We were so touched by all of the messages, well wishes and the amazing party on Saturday night, all of which were unexpected. Your generosity will live long in our memories. This the role includes; 1 meeting (evening) a month, plus 2/3 hours of prep for the meeting. If you are interested in this position please talk to a Church warden, Vicar or current PCC member if you would like to know more. APCM Update Thanks to a partnership with the Diocese, we are looking to be able to appoint an Assistant Pastor at Christ Church. So that we are able to strengthen the community, and in due course resource other churches and mission opportunities.
