Saltmine - Join us at the 11:00am service, next week, 28th Feb when Mr. David Robinson, creative director of the Saltmine Trust, will be giving a small taster of their evangelical work and Christian holidays through drama and chat!

Women’s World Day of Prayer Fri 5th March - The Morning Service will be at St Marys Church, High Street, Ware 10:30am Speaker : Rev. Tim Swindell
The Evening Service will be at St. Margaret's Church, Stanstead Abbotts 7:30pm. Everyone welcome to join the Churches Together in Ware as we celebrate this service which begins as dawn breaks over the islands of Tonga in the Pacific and continues across each continent until the last services of this special day are held back in the Pacific, on the islands of Samoa, circling the world in prayer for 36 hours. Welcome Conference 27th March - This is being run by the diocese and is a half day conference on making people welcome. More information and registration forms are availabe on the Welcome Desk or visit www.stalbans.anglican.org/Mission/Welcome. If any one is interested in atending please contact June Jarvest to arrange transport.

2nd Chance! - If you missed the church meeting on the 24th of January on the proposed changes in the organisation of the church then there is another opportunity to meet to discuss and contribute to the wisdom and insight God has given us as his body here at Christ Church and to further shape those developments. On Sunday 7th March at 3:00pm in the Centre, we will repeat the exercise and in the following week publish the feedback we have had. We will use both the back of church and the church website to share the information that has come from the two meetings. David.

LW:LW Ware’s Got TalentSunday 28th Feb 6:30pm at Chauncy School - If you have a talent that you would like the opportunity to share, auditions will be on Sat the 27th Feb at Tower School. You can download a registration form here or collect one from the office. On the 28th we will need volunteers to man the fair trade refreshment stall and to act as stewards. Two study opportunities in the near future - To study a complete module in a week, or to join an online course as preparation for a mission trip
1. Development studies: 15th-19th Feb 2010 Price: £360 residential, £300 non-residential.
Sessions will include the following topics:
Development Theory: What is poverty, the cause and the Christian Perspective
Development Practice: Key concepts, capacity building, susutainability, empowerment and dependency
The Project Cycle and Basic Tools: Assessment tools, appreciative enquiry, planning tools and biblical perspective
Major Sectors: Emergency relief, health, education, trade and food security

2. en route express online Feb 22nd - Mar 19th Cost online: £150
The course is designed for those preparing for a short term mission trip and have little or no training or experience. The online course is 20 hours and delivered through lessons, discussion forum and a downloadable workbook.
en route express is also delivered as a short residential,each vacation, the next one will be April 13 - 17th.

Welcome Supper - The next Welcome Supper is on Saturday 20th March. This is open to all newcomers to Christ Church or who have joined us during the past year. Invites and more details are available from the Welcome Desk or June Jarvest.

Sunday Night Prayer Meetings - The next prayer meeting will take place on the 28th of February and 14th of March from 7:00-8:00pm in the Church Centre.

Children with special needs - All children are welcomed in Children's Church and we want to actively encourage those with special needs to join in with activities. Wherever possible, we will make any adjustments necessary to ensure that every child gets the most out of Children's Church. If your child has special needs or a disability, please contact Claire Hallett. All information will be kept confidential.
