Christ Church offers a programme of Marriage Preparation to couples planning to marry or have a service of blessing. The sessions are run by the Marriage Team and based on contemporary material and information provided by the Church Pastoral Aid Society and Care for the Family with particular reference to the book "Sixty Minute Marriage" written by Rob Parsons.The topics we cover include commitment and conflict, money and values, sex, family and children and getting married in church. We recognise that every couple is unique and take this into consideration.
Many couples have attended the course in the last fifteen years and we have received positive feedback from them: even those who are already living together felt they had got to know each other more closely through it.
