Love In Action days
2nd Sunday of the month

On Sunday 18 Sep we are planning to do gardening. We will attend Holy Communion at 9:15am and then a prayer will be said for us and we will go out at about 10:15am.
Our Community Action Sundays always happen on the 2nd Sunday of the month and even with the new Sunday programme this will still remain the same. These ‘Love in Action’ days are an opportunity for all of us to put into action what we are asked to do by God. Isaiah 58:13 calls us to ‘stop doing and saying as we please on the Sabbath’ and to ‘keep it as a day of joyful worship’. Worship is about showing God how much he is worth and on these Sunday’s we show God how much he is worth by serving his family out in the community.
The 2nd Sunday of the month is a Sunday when there are 2 services at Christ Church (9:15am and 11:00am) so, if you want to have some teaching and sung worship before we head out, why not consider going to the 9:15am service and then joining in the ‘Love in Action’ activity - It is even a communion service!
We generally meet in the church car park at 10:30am to pray before heading out to which ever activity. Most Sunday’s there will be football on the King George playing fields as well as something else and you can choose which one you feel is right for you.
